Smoker Thermometer
Drilling a hole in my steel smoker (with a hand drill location)?

I need to drill / 8 hole 7 in the lid of my smoker so I can install a thermometer. I saw a hole that size, but did not think it would work without skipping. what is the best method to use?

Jotade02 hello, I'm Ken from Home Depot in California. You can use a hole 7 / 8 bi-metal saw. First, make sure you have some drivers installed on your saw. This will keep the hole saw what we call "walking." Start drilling with the pilot bit installed and drilling through the surface of the smoker. The bit driver auto center hole. Hope this helps.
